Hexeon
A planet, a few hundred colonists, and an economy nobody administers.
You hold a few Hexes on a sphere. They produce. You sell to other players and buy from other players, and the price is whatever you agree on that week. A turn lasts one week and lands on a Monday.
The economy is made only of players
There is no shopkeeper, no price table, no reward falling out of the sky. What a resource is worth on your world is what somebody was willing to pay for it.
Every bound that shapes a decision is printed next to it: the price floor, the price the treasury pays as buyer of last resort, the council's bounds on selling a Hex, the market fee.
A week is a turn, and being away costs nothing
There is nothing to watch between two Mondays. Your orders run without you, your Hexes produce without you, and the game reports what your rules did.
The game asks for decisions, not attendance. And when it refuses something, it tells you which of its rules is in the way, in its own words.
The planet holds together or it does not, and it shows
Part of what everyone produces goes to the world's upkeep. An era does not end after a set number of weeks: it ends when the world has finished its collective works. A world can also die, and that is allowed.
Stopping is accounted for
A Hex whose holder is away keeps producing, more slowly. A sleeping player's domain cannot be taken from them. Events never target them. Nothing expires.
After six months the domain is liquidated and the colonist goes into cryogenics; on waking, the money and the research are intact and one Hex is returned at once.
Free is the whole game on a smaller perimeter
Not a demo: one world, one colonist, a bounded domain, the whole market, research, feats and the vote. No purchase will ever unlock production capacity.
Where the game is, on 3 September 2026
Hexeon is in alpha and is not open yet. The economic engine is calibrated; the server and the client are being built.
Everything is free during the alpha, there is nothing to buy and no price is announced. There is no queue to join, no place to reserve and nothing to miss.
